Maps

Maps were the earliest tools used to navigate. Early man probably used crude drawings scratched in the dirt to show where the latest kill was. Man then started  placing maps on things that could be carried. During more modern times (after the invention of paper and the printing press) the art of cartography became quite elaborate and maps were often considered state secrets. Today there are many sources for inexpensive or free maps. The one major failing of all maps is they DON"T show you where you are.

The Internet & Satellite

In many instances, the satellite images you can access via Internet are clear enouth to be able to identify specific places or dwellings you might like to go.

Between using the phone, the internet and satellite resources, almost anyone should be able to find their way from Point A to Point B without becoming lost.

This does require some basic education in how to use the resources. See "Seminars"

GPS Systems

In theory a GPS system is a "live" map. if it's working properly, it shows you a background image of your area and exactly where you are in relation to all the parts of that background image.
